Silent Spring
A ceremony for birds - Concert
As a multitude of drawings gradually fill the space, a cellist responds with sounds that seem to grow into a symphony of colours, then gradually become more and more abstract.
As time runs out, the portrayed birds start to fade. The constant interchange of drawing and music captures this vanishing presence.
With Silent Spring, Benjamin Glorieux and Emilie Lauwers reflect on nature, memory, connection and loss in their own way, aiming to preserve the memory of extensive beauty and diversity that we take for granted.
