The Zone : A research process that questions our relationship with the living world
Conversation between artists Bronwyn Lace and Marcus Neustetter from THE ZONE (Vienna)
Through a series of artistic gestures that fuel reflection on living beings and their connection to sciences THE ZONE is a transdisciplinary collaborative project that seeks to create a "third space" for exploration, transcending the traditional boundaries between arts and sciences in order to respond to the institutional constraints that have compartmentalised these disciplines.
Rather than building a bridge between the arts and sciences, THE ZONE proposes to recognise the dialectical tension between our personal and scientific perspectives as a source of a new type of embodied knowledge.
